Statement of Faith
THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative written Word of God, revealing God’s will, truth, and redemptive plan for humanity.
ONE GOD
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons:
God the Father,
God the Son,
God the Holy Spirit.
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ: His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through the shedding of His blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal, visible return to the earth in power and glory to rule and reign.
SALVATION
We affirm that there is only one Savior and only one Gospel. Jesus Christ gave Himself as the only ransom for sinners and is the sole mediator between God and humanity. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. All people are separated from God because of sin, yet God loves the world and desires that none should perish but that all should repent. Salvation is received only by grace through faith in the finished work and precious blood of Jesus Christ.
THE GREAT COMMISSION
We believe the Church is commissioned by Jesus Christ to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every person. Evangelism is not the calling of a few, but the responsibility of every believer. We exist to proclaim Jesus Christ clearly, boldly, unapologetically, and compassionately, calling people everywhere to repentance, faith, and new life in Him.
REGENERATION
We believe regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for personal salvation. Through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, a person is made new, forgiven of sin, and brought into right relationship with God.
WATER BAPTISM
We believe water baptism is a command of Scripture and an essential act of obedience for every believer. We believe Baptism is not just an outward expression of an inward transformation, but that it is a direct act of OBEDIENCE symbolizing identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. We strongly encourage all believers to be baptized in water as part of their walk of obedience and discipleship.
SANCTIFYING WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the ongoing sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy and empowered life, growing in Christlikeness and obedience.
THE BLESSED HOPE
We believe in the blessed hope—the rapture of the Church at Christ’s second coming.
RESURRECTION AND ETERNAL DESTINY
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: those who are saved to everlasting life, and those who are lost to everlasting damnation and eternal separation from God’s mercy.
UNITY OF THE BODY OF CHRIST
World Harvest is a gospel centered, Bible believing ministry committed to working in unity with local churches and Christian ministries across denominational lines for the sake of the Great Commission. We affirm that there is one Body and one Spirit, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of all. We believe that unity among believers is both biblical and essential to effective evangelism, bearing witness to the world of Christ’s love and truth (John 17:20–23). We honor the local church as God’s primary instrument for discipleship and ongoing spiritual growth, and we labor to strengthen and serve the Church through cooperative evangelistic outreach, humility, and mutual respect. Our commitment is to the harvest of souls, the exaltation of Jesus Christ, and the advancement of God’s Kingdom together as one Body.
We believe that God equips His Church with diverse ministry giftings for the building up of the Body of Christ and the advancement of the gospel. These gifts are given by God according to His will and purpose, and all are needed for the effective work of the harvest. Also, we believe that calling, anointing, and authority in ministry come from God alone, not from denominational affiliation, academic credentials, or human qualification. God calls and empowers believers by His Spirit, according to His purposes, and He uses willing and obedient hearts to advance His Kingdom. Every believer regardless of background, experience, or education has a vital role to play seeing souls saved. YOU are welcome at World Harvest!
